Would this rigger be suitable for BL?

It could be done IMO, but theres probably easier boats to get that are already setup for FE.
I think what you need to do is figure out your goals for the boat / power source, then look at the available hulls you could put that into.
Are you wanting to race or sport run?
Whats your budget, speed costs money etc etc.Comment

Looks like the motors they run are in the five horsepower range. That means you will need around 3730 watts. With 746 watts = 1 hp (5X746=3730). Some of the Neu's can do that. In the order of a 1527 or better still, a 2215. http://www.neumotors.com/Site/2200_series__.htmlGovernment Moto:

Quite a few expert FE boaters have tried to power Eagles with FE, but most have not been very satisfactory. Riggers are not like monos or sport hydros, they are less forgiving of design and setup. Changes like sponson aoa, dihedral, width and volume would probably be required, as would tub dimensions so the cells would fit. There are not many successful riggers for FE. Those were usually one-offs produced by knowledgeable FE racers for personal use. Most others are not very satisfactory race boats.
It is not very meaningful to directly compare the horsepower of a fuel engine to that of an FE motor. Peak horsepower is not the whole story - by far. Just one example: the nitro rigger that holds the NAMBA X-Hydro record of 126 mph probably makes between 8 and 10 horsepower on-pipe. The T Hydro that holds the FE record of 140 mph had a max output of much less than that. The area under the power curve is where FE shines.
