    No cycling.

Discharging? for storage? nope, stored at 60% of nominal capacity, some advanced charger have the Lipo storage feature.

Never charge above 4.2V/cell, a good charger with build-in balancer will take care of this so balancing is required, each cell of a pack must have the same voltage before use.

Never discharge below 3.2V/cell, the ESC cut-off should do this but you can get some device like LipoShield or CellShield from Dimensionengineering.com that are IMO better than anything else, these devices connect between Rx and ESC and to the battery, when the voltage reaches the setpoint the device changes the throttle signal that goes from Rx to ESC and reduces motor power (and rpm of course), there are some other on the market that simply loudly bip!

    hope this helps

I like the CellShield, 6S capable, checks each cell voltage individually and have the possibility to connect a temp. probe, I'm thinking of buying one soon!
