Looks like you have gotten pretty far with your project!! that is great, I used Styrofoam over the hatch board and then painted epoxy resin over it and sanded it smooth between coats, I have built two boat hatches using the balsa construction method and found it a lot easer to use a block of Styrofoam and sand it to the shape I want using 80-100 grit sand paper on a sanding block.

HI m8 .today i got my aluminum adjustable stinger drive for3/16" shaft with teflon bushing full set version. It comes with brass tube, teflon lining, flexible cable, prop shaft, prop nut, drive dog and a teflon washer.

Feature: The prop shaft tube is squared which allow no soldering. (engine collet has to be rounded)
Adjustable arms are made of stainless steel for ultimate strength . Anodized in silver

Do not use fiberglass resin on the styrofoam it will melt it, the epoxy resin just mix it 1:1 and spread it with a acid brush, use the 30 minute kind like Zpoxy or something from home depot in two 8oz tubes (you get alot more resin that way and it doesn't stink out your shop like fiberglass does!! and you can get it for about $15.00 and you should be able to do 2-3 boats with it, I just started coating the whole out side with it and sanding it smooth between coats and you can drive your boat the next day or a couple of hours after it dries then you can test out your set up then paint it real nice!!! I am going to buy some dye for the resin and give that a try for my top coat you just mix it in the resin and brush it on, it is worth a try that is how surf boards are made.

Yep the color dye work super i use Opaque Resin Tinting Agent before and look super .Here where i get it from

So what size is your motor shaft? it should be 5mm, I would go with 2-4s lipo packs in parallel one on either side of the stuffing tube as close as possible to the main spar (keel) and placing the motor more forward creating a nice bay for your batteries, I have mine mounted more out board as you can see from the assembly pictures but I saw a racer's setup and he had done like I said moved the motor forward, just take your stuff and set it in the hull and without attaching it and you will find the best fit,when you are ready to phisically mount the motor make sure you have your drive in place then you can connect the drive cable to the motor and get everything real straight, I use a 5mm to 3/16" flex hex they work real nice, (or what ever the size of your motor shaft is)
