BBY oval master 29 vs. Aeromarine Titan 29..Need opinions

Hi, I would like opinions of either boat. If they have been tested head to head, etc. I will be using SV27 hardward, UL-1 motor, and Turnigy 120a marine esc. Please let me know which one would be faster, which one would handle better. Just basically any info to help steer me in the best direction. This will be my first FE mono so I am not really familiar with the FE boat offerings on the market! Thanks, Mike

I just ordered a titan 29 and gong to use the UL-1 motor and esc with the SV27 hardware. I had the same dilemma on what hull to get. I chose the titan since it's a fiberglass hull. I think the bby om29 might be faster since it's made out of ABS plastic. So hopefully within the next month or so I'll have her up and running. Not sure if this helps at all!

Hi. The BBY is a good hull but the Titan 29 is very Superior in Quality. It is Fiberglass
with carbon fiber reinforcement inside vs ABS plastic. I have a Titan 29 with SV
power and esc and Fullers hardware. No Oval Master has even come close to me
in a race. Attached some photos. But really you should get the hull you like if
the price of the titan is OK which I think it is I would go with the Titan 29. Regards
      Norman
PS. If you get the Oval Master remember you must reinforce the inside hull with Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber Mat

          BBY Oval Master vs Titan

Hi Tunda, I hate to point out that The DF29 has very low freeboard therefore it
has much less lift than the Titan. Even in aerodynamics the DF29 has that huge
indentation on top of the front deck which is just a windbrake. They still have not
          beat my Titan 29. Regards

haha, Norman........ c'mon man. your boat is very nice. but I know of a lot of DF hulls that will smoke it! especially running only the sv system. the DF has a really long ride pad, and superior aerodynamics. plus it will turn on a dime.

For hull design I like the Titan. Just seems like it has a deeper Vee and has room to upgrade in motor size down the road.

I guess it all depends on what you would like to do? I know I'm not going to be racing. I just want a boat I can take out and run in chop with no problems around speeds in the mid 30's.

Yea, for the price I couldn't pass up the titan. Im in school and had to take the one for cheaper price. I really want to get a bby but when the shipping is 1/3 the price of the actual hull. So I had to pass.
