Hi Jimmy, if you have allready taped the holes for the hardware in the transom then you can just glue the back 1 inch of the cowl straight on as that is what I did with mine and it does make it heaps better to tape the lid down. I have done the same for the Sport 45.
A small tip if you like before you glue the servo down, I had 2 layers of carbon put down over the entire rear bay to stiffen it up. Try and glue the servo onto as much of the plywood insert as possibile as its the strongest point, maybe drill some small holes around the area and fill with epoxy to join the top and bottom skin together.
Your setup is looking the same as mine and it does work very well.
It should be good racing against it during the Brisbane Thunder event.
    Shane.

      Thanks Shane,

For the servo, I was going to drill my 4 mounting holes then fill that area of the skin with microballons allowing me to then redrill and then tap these holes.

Those pics you sent me came in very helpful, Thanks again.

BTW I heard your Hydro was the one to beat at the Nationals, Congratulations.

What color? Be sure to give us some good shots. Such as interior and side shot of hull resting on setup board.

                        Latest update,

                        The safety loop is installed.

For those who are not familiar with this it is basically an inline loop that has to be wired in line of the battery supply and the speed controller thus allowing power to be cut immediately if need be.

All AMPBA affiliated clubs here in Australia require each boat to have one properly installed.

There are a few different methods of installing them but I always use a piece of ply (at least 6mm) with two holes cut to the correct OD of a female plug. This piece of timber with the holes is also used as a template when cutting the holes out on the hull itself. The whole piece with the plugs pushed in is then epoxied to the inside of the hull.

The Kuhler has had the plumbing pieces epoxied in place and a hole has been cut in the sidewall of the hull to allow the watercooling line to be run up to the front of the vessel where it cant be seen.

The servo mount has also been mounted with M3 fasteners. Where the servo sits there is actually a piece of ply that was installed within the hull originally and is stiff as.

The turn fin has also been remounted with M4 fasteners, the holes were drilled and tapped awhile back. note the polished turn fin BLING

                          Thats all for now
