update on this hull, have now scrapped the kb45 best I got from it was 45mph (gps) on 4s with an x450 prop. Its definitely not a 4s motor the 8XL KB, maybe the 8l might be better with its 500 more kv, have changed the Fiegao 540 8xl im doing around 48mph or so in Oval trim with x440/3

First race was today, won the race so was a good start to its racing career.

                  Cheers Simon.

It is very satisfying building a boat, then have it win its first race, 8 boats started about 4-5 finished I think, a couple hairy moments today into the wind, and dodging dead boats but all in all very good for a first outing.

Bring the family down for a look if you get at a loose end, we had a few families there today. Tomorrow there will be untold 1/8 scale hydro's which will be a sight to see!!! lots of noisy nitros and petrols if you can stand them

Now I just gotta give my boat a once over and inspect and lube the cable, and im good to go for tomorrows race. (oh and have a beer)

                    Congrats on the win Matt!

Enjoy it while you can, will only happen till I get my boat built

I hope to get down tomorrow to watch some racing. Any idea what time the offshore electric classes race? I won't be able to get there until just after 10.

Won again today!!!! Woot, do need to go up to a bigger prop though. Need another 10kmh on the top end Jasons DF 29 was about 5kmh faster, but he ended up missing a bouy and I got round him. He Nearly caught me again, but it didn't matter by then as he had to run an extra lap for missing the buoy.

loving it! Time for a well Earned beer.

                              Well done Matt.
A well deserved win in both heats with your own design cat.
Maybe next time the water will be rougher and the DV's will nail you.
                              Graham.

                                Hi Graham

Thanks! I think I need that tunnel flap like on your fantastic little Jolly Cat to level the attitude of the boat a little for this rough weather!

That was my smallest prop, next time we shall be faster!!

Still 3.75volts in each cell of each pack after racing
                                Matt.
