I would not bother cutting those angles. (Just me I guess) I will use the 10/32 or larger pressure fittings and drill them tight and screw in with some epoxy on them. Or small lengths of KS is fine too but always wiretie the tubing since there is no nipple, I even use those for nipples. Make sure they are flush inside before gluing. You need a couple mm clear..or 3. around the can for water....the flow and pressure will do the rest. Unless you need the room, elbows do nothing else. Water will always flow to the exit or where there is the least amount of resistance...the exit. :)

I seal with silicone as shown. I like the extra protection. If you need it off a small cut with exacto knife around the can and remove it.

I like to place my inlets/exits where I need them....many seem to make it hard for tubing. My exit is always on the rear side of the can and right out the hull...almost a straight shot and I can see flow as it passes by.

Getting good water flow to the motor and ESC is the key, which is all about the pickup but also not having tubing all over your hull with bends and kinks.

There are tons of o-rings out there that can fit just about anything...my Ace hardware must have 100 sizes of o-rings.

Good post...I may even make some out of the FG cloth I have here. CF is the cool look but that is about it.

Man....I better slow down on the coffee!

No. These. Also, there is your 90 degree fitting....They are all out...I bought them all :) Not really...all they had, which were not many.

Would this method of opening the can mash the bearings?

I just got a kb45 today and it has no endplay at all so im going to have to open it up and remove a shim.

I thought I had read somewhere that the front plate unscrews, but then I guess I have to pull out the rotor to get to the shims.

                Thoughts please
                Matt.

Mine had no play whatsoever after the first run it had about 1.5 mm don't bother opening it just a waste of time, the front plate does unscrew, only one brass shim in mine
