    Scratch Build Round Nose Hydro

I have built other boats but first time with a Hydroplane, I did the calculations using RC Explained on you tube and would like some other opinions, so here we go. the boat is 58" long, 3033wtt. Going to use 6s @ 22.2 Lipo. Will need 63c or higher. Motor weight is 930g or 32oc. KV is 1350. Speed control is 230amp which seems high? Finally prop size is 47.86, do not know pitch. Any thoughts about the set-up will help. I do not need the be the fasted boat on the block, just looking for something to fool around with. Thanks

36-38" is pretty much max size boat for a 6s setup as you described. At 58"you need a 12s 2p setup around 500kv and 300A esc, props 65mm +. You should never rely on youtube for this stuff. Stick to 1.4 pitch props.

Hello Peter (my son's name). So, I should use 2- 6s in parallel sticking with the 22.2v and pushing up the amps. Would that extend run time a little longer than 7 - 9 min?

No! 6s is not enough for a 58"boat. You will burn things up. The prop size will be too inefficient to make it run well, if even get it up on a plane. Run 10-12s and the amps will be lower. Big boats cost big money. Your other option would be put a gas engine in. Even a stock 26cc Zenoah with a 70mm prop will push it around well.
