    Newest member here!

    Hi, All-
Newest member here, up in beautiful Winterport, Maine! I was into R/C boats in the early '70's, actuaally was stationed in Bermuda- and another guy and I got started with a couple of boats- we ran them in a channel right outside the base- and got a lot of interest started on the island.
When I left there, there were probably 10 boaters or so. From what I understand, there's still an active RC Boating community there,
Had a .40 Octura Wing Ding, a Dumas Deep Vee and a scratch built Crapshooter. When I got back to the states, added a Dumas outboard tunnel hull.
Got out of it in the late '70's when the Navy took over my life more.
Just now getting back into it- trying to catch up on the changes and the technology changes- looking at possibly building a Zippkits 'rigger- or a monohull... Electric,
There is no active powerboating here near where I live, so looking at a fun boat- though I will always love fast!
As I don't have a chase means, however- I may be safest with a self-righting boat.
Can anyone reference a good introductory tutorial for Lipo's???

I have written a series of technical articles for the NAMBA Propwash. Some are for advanced boaters, but The one below will give you a start.
