Scale sevan outboard and metal mounting brackets

Hey guys been on here a while.

Just purchased a graupner x-cat and looking at getting a pair of scale sevan outboards to power it versus the tfl outboards as they are a bit larger.

What?s the reliability with the sevans with a 3550 inrunner?

Also want to get the metal mounting brackets, but they are out of stock on OSE, unless you were to purchase the dummy outboards that use a flex shaft. Would rather not buy two 170 dollar outboards just for the mounts.

Thanks in advance, any info would be greatly appreciated!

I think if it were me I would reach out to Steve at OSE and see where the brackets came from. Also if it were me I would seriously consider running the dummy O/B?s. You could have a lot more reliable setup and a bit hotter too.

Actually did reach out, and was told the country they get them from is in a war right now which I assume would be Ukraine or Russia.

Also reached out to MHZ and they told me they stopped producing out drives and outboards, but have drawings for a revised outboard, that might see the light of day if there?s enough interest. I think you are right?. We will see. Might have to try it out.

That is a shame. I wonder if Stumpfab could make something up for reasonable
