Hey all, I have finally gotten ahold of a 3d printer so I decided to do something I?ve always wanted to do, build a boat. Of course I couldn?t just build a simple mono, it had to be a cat! Found a free set of files for a mti cat that is setup for twin outboards which are also 3d printed. My printer is not very large so I scaled the files down to 70% and got busy waiting.
Currently 18 hours in with another 22 hours to go before all the sections will be done.
I printed one outboard last night and appears a neu 12/30 will fit pretty well. Would like a 20mm but don?t think I can find a good option due to height restrictions. I plan to machine my own water jacket for it as well. Props seem to be the tricky part for this as I havent found many options for the size estimate I need.
Boat will be about 24inch overall so should be a nice cruiser on a calm day.
Also, if anyone could enlighten me on how to post pictures that would be greatly appreciated.
