pros and cons of strut rudder combo

ive seen some thing where the strut and rudder are made together, it looks simpler but i cant find mucḣ about them. anybody know?

I think it might be better suited to even performance, when turning in both directions. I'm thiking of one too, for a future deep-vee wave-jumper.

They work fine on monos and cats. I have run them on both.
