    New xxx from aeromarine

Building a new xxx hull (even got the mini version) Troy did a great job running full length carbon. I have purchased everything for the boat so far other than an esc and motor. Going to start rigging it soon. I?m not sure whether I want to use a tp5680 800kv on 12s or my lmt 3080/7 on 10s. The lehner may not suit me as I am looking for 80mph and I?m a little scared to burn up that expensive motor.

i have to say i use tp and lehner but lehner rules ,if you order a 3080/7 hiamp lk (air-cooling inside the motor) you can't go wrong the only thing is what you want to spend ,i use ztw esc and works perfect with lehner

I don't think you would come anywhere near to burning up a 3080 lehner, speed controllers yes....

My H&M no step 4 did low 90's with a lehner 3060/7 (1000kv) that was also 10s. i could of propped up and gone faster but was reaching the limits of the hull design already...

As an example I have been running my XXX for over 10?years on a Lehner 3060/7 on 8s. With a 457/3. 65 in race form all day. This boat likes to be light. A 3080 should get you to 80 No problem. Just be carful because when it?s stuffs it?s going to crack. No carbon in the world will stop it. Good luck. Keep us updated.

Interesting, now I did figure the 3080 could do it but was just worried from lack of experience as far as burning it up. Good to know that 3060/7 can spin that size blade, I am also building two other hulls one herzog 45 inch mono and a real light weight all carbon fiber conquest that will both be sporting a 3060/10 on 10s.

I do already have the 3080 on the shelf so I may just go for that.

Good to know the ztw will work with it, I do already have the motor and yes it is the 3080/7 LK I just hadn’t decided if I wanted to use it on this build or another.

Sweet! I’m putting together a 53” DF Annihilator. Let’s meet up at Pleasant before it gets too hot out and run some boats.

Man it’s been so long since I have heard from you I didn’t think you were still running boats haha! That boat you are building will be cool, I have so many more boats done since I last saw you and most are bigger gas size hulls, I want to maiden my 60” Apache soon. It has a 2230 in it for power

I’ll text you when I get back into town mid January. I haven’t had any time for boats until now. Looking forward to seeing your fleet on the water.

I can help you with that boat if you want, I think it should run in the 70s with that motor setup and the right prop. Plus it should be able to handle whatever choppy water you throw at it. I have been eyeing one of those myself and if I like how yours runs I might grab one myself.
