I've never built a mono this large, so I have a layout question.
I've always put my motor towards the transom and esc in front with packs on the sides of the esc. I can make the balance point work with the motor at the back and esc in front, or it works reversing the two.
Which way do you guys set up longer mono?

Motor in back- shorter flex, shorter motor wires, better space for packs, but more angle on stuffing tube.
Motor in front- better stuffing tube angle, but longer wires, longer flex, tighter space for packs.
The motor can is large, so I can only get it so low.

Looking good! What motor mount is that? Looks like the carbon pieces are stump fab but not the brackets? For my build I’m going to try and have the motor towards the back, I’m going to get the 4” wide rails so that it can sit lower in the hull than the 5” rails. Do you have the battery packs to try a dry fit in there and see if it’s enough room? I have some monos with the motor towards the back and some towards the front and both styles seem to run well for me but I’m sure someone will have better input.

I would definitely put the motor in the rear IMO

If you first install the stinger then the rudder after that just put in the motor esc and batteries to find BP,then you find the best setup that works for you and the hull

A little more progress this weekend.
Hardware is mounted. Next is fine tuning the interior layout.
I think the motor towards the transom, esc in front, and packs on the sides of the esc is going to work out best.
