    Zonda TP motor recommendation

Im modding the tfl zonda to run on 12s (6s each esc) with a seaking 180amp esc.

I've come up with mixed answers with the best kv to use with a tp 4050 motors.

Would be appreciated for feedback on kv and also prop size to run.

The boat will be a basher, but would really like to see it run in the 100mph zone.

To clear things up, you plan on running 6S. There is no 12S in this equation.

If you're looking for top speed, kV around the 2000-2200 mark will work, but aren't ideal for a "basher" with coooler temps and longer run times. A more sport setup would be 1600-1700kV but might not get you to 100 without using larger props. Prop wise, you can run anything from an Octura 442 to a 447 or an ABC 1715-1716 for high speed passes.

If you're running the stock SSS motors they can get you to 100MPH. You just need the right props and boat set up and some luck.

For a Zonda i think a TP3650 is more suited ,they are less weight and same power

They make 3650?s in 1950, 2060, 2350, 2900, 3080, and 3840kv off the shelf winds. You can also get custom winds.

The previous post recommendation on kv ratings still holds true even with the smaller 3650?s instead of the bigger 4050?s.

3650 1700kv. Better option than the stock sss 3674?

Or maybe just keep the stock sss and swap out the stock 120amp esc with the 180amp.

For a TP3650 you need a 180a esc because this motor has twice the power of a sss3674 ,if you want more power look also at SSS3682 (OSE)

You can' t go wrong with 40000 RPM unload for a 1 meter catamaran,

ABC 1716-17or 1816-17 and thyrs 1915-17 these are the best prop for a zonda
