    prop choice for twin DF41

    Hi Skippers,
I am building a twin 6s DF41. I need to design the prop spacing so I am seeking advice about what size prop you think I may get to roughly as a maximum diameter without the props being too far apart. My previous twin build (Pirate on twin 4s 30000RPM ended up sweet and safe on 43mm 1.6 pitch props). I am thinking I may need about enough space to spin 47's or 48's on 6s at 31000RPM, but I would love to hear from some of the legends on this forum who have greatly assisted me in the past. I'm only after about 3 mins run time, but don't want to get too close to the smoke zone. We all know smoking is bad for your boats health! Many thanks Running Beer.

What motors are you using, and what speeds are you after?
    We can assume not racing?

Hi, No, not racing. 90KM/Hr would be nice. I was thinking TP 4060 1350Kv for @30000 RPM. Thanks Callum

I like the 47 / 48 mm as a max, but would start with 45/3 aluminum to be safe and until you find out what she likes.
Of course, Still checking temps frequently on the first run.
