Motor runs after transmitter is turned off

I have just finished building a Genesis 900 with stock motor. I used a Seaking 180a V2 esc. Currently set up on 3s batteries. I used a Spectrum DX5C transmitter With a SR415 receiver..

It set up relative easily for novices except for the fact that when you turn off the transmitter the boat motor starts running. If any one has any ideas I would appreciate it. I am not to tech savy

so hopefully it is a simple remedy. Thanks

A very easy remedy.
It is normal practice to always turn off the power in the boat first & then the transmitter.
Startup is the opposite.
Always turn on the Transmitter first & then connect the power in the boat.

As Paul has stated, plus set the throttle failsafe. I am not familiar with Spectrum stuff so check the manual. Then if you have a signal failure on the water your boat will stop instead of racing off and causing damage.
