Ride pads are on. Bottom is complete. Terry mentioned marking the bottom sheet center line with the laser cutter (low power vector line). Great idea! I haven't started on laser cut skins for this boat yet, but that will be implemented for sure.

I've also been thinking.....we haven't really gone too far out of the box with this design. Geometry is tried and true. It's possible that I could be coaxed into providing frame-only (no skins) kits in January for reduced pricing. That would give everyone the winter to build. Life is short!

Back to work. I glassed every seam on the boat. Took about 1-1/2 hours. The trick is using thin, 3/4oz glass, and a fabric cutter. Just cut pcs and move them into place with a epoxy wetted brush, then brush onto seam.

Drilled and tapped for hardware last night Pete. Didn't do the stuffing tube. I wanted the holes drilled before I cleared. Changed my mind three times on paint already. Think I got it now. Gonna have an OSE theme.

Cleared the bottom last night with Helmsman spar urethane. Picking up some rattle cans in a bit here for the canopy. It's a race boat fer crap sake.

I never bought into that 'race boat' philosophy. Just because it's going to be trashed doesn't mean it can't be beautiful!!!
