        I personnally use a K42 carbon prop with a 8XL but a french buddy did 45mph with a K45, IMO you'll be able to spin a 50mm dia prop with the 10XL.

I have heard of guys using a X450/3 with the 10XL in 33inch boats. Personally i would make sure its detounged and nice and thin and sharp.

Finally some vid. 42.3 on GPS
Guys I need some advice. In this video the trim tabs were irrelevant as I was working on strut angle so I had them up and out of the water. The boat is too loose for this calm water. When I slow down even a little bit the boat lays down drastically also whel I let off the throttle sometimes the boat hooks left. What should I do? All help will be greatly appreciated.
                    Thanks,
                    Alvin

the fact the boat turns left when you slow down is normal, you have a pretty big prop because of the use of a 10XL witch creates more prop walk than a smaller prop, it makes your boat to turn to the right when WOT, I guess you changed the sub trim left so that she goes straight at WOT, then she goes right when you slow down!
you could counter the prop walk having your prop pointing left or if possible mixing throttle and rudder.

Doesn't look too bad for an early run. Things will definitely get better once you bring the tabs into play. I made very minor changes to the tabs on my DF33 when I first set it up, and the changes transormed the handling!

I'm assuming you have some left trim dialled in to counteract the prop walk under power - hence the left turn when you back off. Set the right tab slightly lower than the left, and straighten the trim back up a bit. Keep playing with the tabs until you've got it how you want it.

I notice your tabs have the corners bent down a bit, I've never seen that done. What's the reason behind that?

I have my strut set level with the keel. I think the bottom of the strut is 3mm above the keel - set with a metal packer on a flat surface.

                        Where's the CG set?

                        Cheers,
                        Scott

You'll need to drop your turn fin a fair bit, this will help alot in the corners and will also settle the boat down a little in the straights. You could also try a 3 bladed propeller in an attemt the achieve a little more stability. I'd start small with maybe an X440/3 or an X442/3
