Actually Douggie, in my case it's not so much the lean angle, but the turn radius !

Understood, what a cool bike. I was in to the cafe racer style, but I loved the inovation of the custom/chopped bikes. At my age today it would be a Harley with their massive torque.

Douggie, I know I'm off topic here, but check out the new HD XR 1200 on the HD site. Cafe-style, released in Europe last year & now available Stateside.

                  Whew !

Thanks everyone for the kind words, advice & support. This was a fun build; my third tunnel. Kinda' like building a ship-in-a-bottle - getting everything to fit & interact with precision in a tight space. I now have much respect for rigger builders, who have the same challange. Sunday will be fun; I have a new White UL-1 ready to roll as well; ever since Brian let me cut a few laps with the one he had at the SAW's I've been bewitched ! I'll share my results when the day is done, and Jan : bring your vidcam !!

                      First Run Today !!

Well today I get to the lake and who was standing there; 2 of the fastest & experienced nitro tunnel racers around : Mark Grim [district 19 ass't. Director], and his son Chris. Was ready to be embarrassed in such company ! Put in an Elite 30C 4S 5300, small prop for starters [X442] & let 'er rip. Perfect !! Cornered flat as a pancake; no hop in the corners ! Turned like a hydro ! I asked Chris what he thought & he said : Prop up to get her looser & go race !! Temps were so ambient that I didn't bother with the temp gun. I was stoked. Later, Jan showed up with the vidcam for some video & I did something really dumb : I violated my one big rule : Don't be talking to anyone when hooking up the batteries. Yup ! poof went the speed control ! If I can get delivery of some new SC's by next weekend, videos will be forthcoming.

With an Elite 4S 30C 5300 mah battery, [ 1.25 lbs] ; the rtr weight is 5.56 lbs.

[This may be somewhat lighter than a functioning boat since a fair amount of smoke has escaped from the speed control ! ]

power sources should always be protected, battery leads should be all negative, there are those of us that use the "red hot" style and have the red (positive), as a male and
put a protective sleeve over it when not in use.

With that being said the ESC's battery side should be male (or male/female) and the side that the motor connects, since it can output power, should be all female...
                                motor should be all male.
