Cheetah Twin build - ESC and Battery locations ??

First time trying to put together a boat like this and I was hoping someone could give me some advice. Two TP 2100 y wind motors are in place and I am now trying to find the best location
for the two ZTW 200 amp esc's. First I tried the ESC location as far to the rear as possible. No matter what I did with the two 4S batteries the boat was nose heavy so then I tried putting the two ESC's
cross hull forward with one on the platform and the other on a battery rack forward of that. (This boat has the 14 1/4 inch long platform) I was then able to balance well (33%) from the transom and had
some wiggle room for different size packs on the platform. I do realize that the 33% point is just a ball park and that each setup is different.

BUT I know you want weight down low in the hull (tunnels?) so I had what might be a eureka moment. I tried fitting the ESC's down into the hull and they go just fine with plenty of lead length. I thought to mount them there on a couple of leveled and raised battery racks. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? From my point of ignorance I think this is a great solution as that gives me almost the whole 14 inch platform to get a happy CG point and gets some weight down low also.. by the way the VERY FIRST thing I tried was to put the batteries in the hull tunnels - the motor locations did not allow the weight to come to the rear anywhere near to a proper CG. Mounts were factory installed.
These ESC's are (supposed to be) waterproof but if I think positive I should NEVER have to worry about that right ?

I also have a rudder with a five inch extension which I am going to try to avoid hooking which I have seen in some other cases - any experiences with this would be appreciated also.

So I imagine since mounts are pre installed that the tubes and all that are as well?
I finished up my HPR this past spring and installed my ESC’s in the sponsons but on the side walls. Nice for motor leafs and short battery leads but running any sort of parallel system is dead. I don’t think there will be any I’ll effects from mounting the batteries on the tunnel.

I've never built or raced a Cheetah, but I did help a fellow club mate set one up a few years ago.
He ended up beating me in the State Championships in our EB 6s Cat class.
We had the batteries on the tunnel. Here's a brief thread the shows the layout.

See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Thank you for your reply. I was looking at ways to put velcro in there to hold the ESC's in place and I think mounting them on side walls is the best to negate the uneven floor problem.
Due to the fact that I have several different battery makes (and weights) it will be nice to have all that tunnel space to move then around CG wise. Thanks again for your input.

Thanks for your reply. I checked out the thread and that is a really neat looking boat and apparently it ran/runs as good as it looks. I will also send that to another guy in our club.
It must have hurt getting beat that way but as we say there's always next time. The pictures are nice and clear and I will be referring to them. I do appreciate the reply!
