    CNC anyone ?

Just curious if anyone uses a CNC machine to cut parts. Or if anyone draws parts in CAD. I am extremely new to the world of home based CNC. But its fun to learn.

It’s funny, I do CAD and just downloaded Autodesk Inventor. I don’t have a CNC machine but I was looking for work until my car just died.

    Do you need a drawing?

I could use the practice since it’s been a while.

Ditto. I design and cut all of my own stuff... everything.

          Ok cool.

I have a machine here at the house. Not anything I could use to machine aluminum with. Mostly expanded PVC, balsa and foam.

OK, now I am so jealous. A laser is on my wish list. I don't think the wife would like it in the house though.

It's how we pay our bills, so it's kinda easy to talk the wife into new toys, (I mean equipment). Working on a larger higher power laser (400 watt) for next year. Heck I even talked her into adding 3000 s.f. to the shop last year.addition trusses.jpg

                  Nice.
I priced out a 60X40 shop a few years ago. The wife wasn't real happy with the cost, so it didn't happen.
