I bolted them down. I didn't think about making them adjustable. Did you have a idea? If so i would be interested.

On RCG Discussions a mate told me to just tape the front starboard one until the toe in makes the boat track straight, then bolt it. I was also thinking maybe 2, 3mm set scews on that point and make a small flat spot on the carbon rod. Once right the drill through and bolt it.

That's a good idea. How far along are you on yours now?

I have to skin one last sponson, seal tub and rig it. I will start rigging it at the GF's place next weekend. Working on a pair of Cats right now, one for spec and one for Full P. What size bolts did you use to attach the sponsons to the booms?

I think I used 2mm no nuts. I tapped the rod.

Smallest I have is 3mm. Will it be too heavy? All I see on rigger setup is "light as possible".

I use 3/32 not 2mm sorry. You can use traxxas set pins. There a pin with threads at the top.

                            Hello Moonie,
I have one of those 4s taipan riggers from Paul Osmond Ive had it for about 10 years only mine was set up 6s and I think it was a bit heavy for a 4s hull.
If you are still on this forum could you tell me your set up as I would love to set this up as a 4s please include if you would, your motor brand and size and KV what esc you run and battery and most importantly what prop brand and size and if flex or wire drive.
If you know what speed you get out of it that would give me a target for mine.
                            Thanks In advance
                            James

Hey Moodie,The last one you have listed 4s full P 31 inch my hull is 31 inch wow 71 mph that is so fast I?m in Australia and live on the water I don?t race I just love riggers and the speed they can go. My most fun rigger is a TFL arrow it only does 60 but I changed the sponsons to a KEPS style and it goes through the choppy water well and handles like it?s on rails.,
Ide love to resurrect this taipan it?s such a good looking boat.
                                Thanks James
