Building 45" AM Vector & some questions

This is a aeromarine Vector build full C/F bottom , I'd like to run 8s on this 5660/1636 I'm also thinking of adapting the 43" Challenger hatch for a offshore look looking for opinions on the use of 8s also the look of the hatch I'm thinking of starting with a 1814/15/60/3 opinions welcome thanks Chris

1650 KV? Might be too much for 8s. Better for 6s.

That’s really not an appropriate motor even for 6S in such a large, heavy boat; to keep amp draw reasonable a too-small prop would be required. Even most Q Sport Hydro racers prefer a lower Kv. For 8S a Kv between 800 and 1000 makes a lot more sense. The Castle 2028 does very well on 8S in big monos.

                AM Vector with CFF bottom

                Hi dasboata,

I'm running the original fiberglass hull Vector from AM. My setup has been so far a TP5840s/1400kV on 8s with ABC 22-/2315-17-45(2) CLL. My max. speed was just over 80 mph, only for SAW use, but killed several esc. due to the high amp draw. For the Munich SAW 2017 I changed the setup to 10-12s with a SSS5680/1000kV motor with less amp's!
Unfortunately the hull(deck) got some cracks when flowing off at high speed and so I'm very interested in a more rugged hull like you have.
My question is, is it possible to order this hull with a C/F bottom(+deck) from AM or any other person who is doing this at its own?

                Arnold
