How to install brass tube properly?

How do you guy's install an get the brass tube in your RC boats to stay in properly?
I was dismantling my cheetah because I want to move the motor back a inch or two.(I wasn't happy with the place meant). So I got to work removing everything but when it came to the brass tube it came out really easy. I used jb weld to hold it in place and fiberglass. What should I use when putting it back in for a more secure hold?

If it came out easily after using JB Weld, something is wrong. It should have required heat to remove, JB is strong stuff. Either the JB was improperly mixed, brass was contaminated with oil, wax, etc. or there was very little contact area. I have been using JB to secure stuffing tubes to hulls for many years, it holds when properly applied. How about a pic?

I use JB Weld or just plain 5 minute epoxy sometimes where the tube leaves the hull, but epoxy putty supporting the end of the stuffing tube at the coupler end.
The secret is in scuffing the hull with some 120 grit paper, & then wipe the area with some acetone to remove the wax from the fiberglass. Also scuff the brass tube with the paper, where ever the adhesives come in contact with it.

Sadly I didn't take any pictures of it before I removed it.

I could have done something wrong but it's okay as long I lean from my mistake.
