    Which ESC is good for

a Feigao 9XL motor, and 2 packs 3S 11.1V 2200 mAh lipo batt in series? This setup is for a 32" cat.

Your going to need WAY more capacity than that for a 32" cat.

And s on a 9xl doesn't seem like it will last so long...

I think you need to try two 3s packs in PARALLEL.

    3s2p 4.4Ah. But 3s won't really spin a 9XL that fast.

What is the discharge rating for these batteries?

    As for the esc...

What type of speeds are you looking for?

That'll tell us what prop to use, and the expected amp draw from the motor.

My first reaction would be a hydra 240, if you can get better batteries.

Discharge rate is 25C, speed around 40+

So, yeah. A hydra 240 should be good.

See if you can't get two more of those packs to make 6s2p and use a KB45XL for this cat. I'd try a 9 turn.

It would have MUCH more power than a 540 XL and would be able to push a 32" cat beyond 40.

        What is your budget?

B/C a Neu 1521 would be the best option.

          I thought one 3S/pack X2 would make it 6S
I just want an esc that would work with this Feigao motor since this is just for sport run.

Even being for sport, with a motor drawing ~100A continuous, those batteries will not last long.

You need to get two more. Hook them up 6s2p. or, two packs in series, two in parallel.

              Tony ,

I put me reply , from the other thread , overhere aswell .

The ETTI 125Amp does not need to be programmed for a XL9 but i would use lipos with higher capacity something like 5000Mah and use 2 3s in serie so you would get 6s . The 2200Mah can only handle 55Amp max so thats not enough . Also use a lipo saver between de Esc and the lipo , the ETTI can be programmed to shut of if the voltage will be below 18volt but cannot monitor a single cel .

              Michiel.

Ok, running 2 3S in series would get 6S. So, 2200Mah/pack x2 would make it 4400Mah which is still below 5000Mah. So, i need to get 5000Mah each pack or total?
BTW, can you link me to that lipo saver you use? Thanks

You can use four smaller packs to get 6s2p if they are each 3s and 2.5Ah.

Or you can use two big packs that are 3s1p 5Ah to get 6s1p.

Thank you for that helpful chart. Looks like i will need to get some new lipos. Do you think i should stay with 3s1p or go up to 4s1p? Also, what discharge should it be?

Get the highest discharge that is possible.

Shoot for about 20 amps higher than what your esc is rated for to cover surge currents and keep your batteries from running at full tilt all the time.

Quite a few people are using these.

I myself have got a couple of the version with BEC. Can't fault them. You have to add a cooling plate. You can waterpfoof them if you want to but I haven't.
I don't know if the 200amp rating is accurate but none of my systems run over 80 amps so they are fine for me at that price.
                        Cheers.
