I already had this rudder assembly when I picked up a 73" Mystic cat hull, so I thought I'd try to make it work. These rudders are just the $55-ish ones that you can buy from Kintec and other places. The rudder blade-length and mounting footprint seem to be perfect for this size hull, but the stand-off is bit too long for the hydraulic rams to reach. I took some measurements, ordered some carbon fiber tubing and tiny hydraulic line fittings, modified the existing rams to get the extra reach, and still retain the scale so they wouldn't look oversized for the hull. I think it turned out pretty good and it was way cheaper than buying the larger, push-pull scale hydraulic rams from someplace like MBP/MHZ/etc. Next, I'll get the hydraulic lines added, get them mocked up on the transom to drill the holes and finish it off with some aluminum trim rings for where the tiny hydraulic lines go into the hull.
