Paint problem

Hi!

I painted my genesis with Miss geico color and applied decals... I used 2k clear coat over the decals. I wrapped the boat in cardboard because i went on holiday, and when i came to the destination i saw that the carboard made some scratches in the clear coat bacuse it wasnt completly dry... what to do??

please help!

The boat was perfect before that...

Wet sand it and reclear it.

Make sure it completely cures, leaving it in the sun for a few days is what I do typically. After the final clearcoat I let it set a full week before touching it.

Especially if it's epoxy clear coat...

I have had epoxy paint wrinkle in the direct sun so bad the paint all had to be removed ....you already rushed and have an issue.......let it cure

some paints will wrinkle if recoated too soon read the paint instructions...Krylon is a great example of paint that will ruin your week if you recoat too soon

Rustoluem as well, the Painter's touch 2x coverage I had a bear of a time.

I switched to Valspar spray paint from Lowe's, you can re-coat any time.

I used 2k spraymax clear coat! Nice finish! Liked it alot.
