    Genesis problem

    Hi.
I am currently rebuilding my genesis with new
3/16 stinger, but i wonder how you guys drill holes for the stingers in the transom? The drill is just to big in order to get it look nicee and straight. The problem is that the angle of the holes isnt right because of the drill. Please help me

    Thanks!

Thanks.. I bought a long 3,5 bore bit so i will try that first... Should i drill a bigge holde for the tubing so it can move a little? And then just use epoxy when its correct?

Should the brass tube be some mm outside the hull when i moumt the stingers or just flush with the transom?

On my apparition the stuffing tube will seat it's self
In the stinger. Hole in the hull is a little larger then the tube.
As soon as I find motor mounts that will fit. I'll assemble
Everything mark it and glass it all

So you have the tube a little outside the hull?

Another thing... is it normal that the flexshaft is hard to rotate without grease? Its 3/16 shaft and stinger

Yes just a touch larger so the shaft can line up
With everything. Scuff the tubes so the epoxy
            Sticks to it.

Thanks Bigford. Kinda new to this :P Gonna drill a little larger hole for the tube, make it few mm outside the hull and then glue the tube when the stinger is mounted and correct. What do you think of the other question i had?

Are you using a Teflon liner?

I just tried to put the flex cable into the stinger without teflon line or tube
