Except for decals (eyekandy?) She's ready to go. There has been a power plant upgrade also.

That is gonna be one awesome boat! Quite a project to tackle. Thank Goodness you got rid of that UGLY color scheme on the stock boat. I don't know what they were smokin when they designed it.

Bummer! Can you even get a new one from Horizon? Probably costs a zillion dollars. I busted up the nose cowl on my UL-1...the cheap plastic one...and a new one from Tower is $35?!!! I run my UL-1 without it. Looks funny but I'll be damned if I'll be gouged like that.

Wow! I'm impressed. Just went to the Horizon site and saw the windshield is only ten bucks! Good for Horizon for making spare parts reasonable as opposed to Aquacraft who rip your knickers!

I was just looking at your Jolly web page, and then at OSE and Towers web page for SV-27 spare parts prices. Not much difference in a lot of them.

Not sure your "rip your knickers" is accurate, or just one vendor bashing another. Keep in mind that your Mini Cat Racing products are just a re-packaging of China E-Bay boats with a few tweaks. They do seem to run nice by looking at the videos tough. They do seem to be stable at speed.

                          Anyway

Diego, looking forward to seeing this new and improved Fastech run.

It may be a while before she gets decals. I'll probably break down and run her naked (the boat, not me!)

                            yes there will be video!

Most of our boats are originals that we have been involved in the design. Problem that goes on in China is we originate a lot of the designs, etc. and then they are copied and made cheap with less quality and unloaded on ebay. Most of the time what you percieve as 'tweaks' are what was originally designed by us to be put on/in the boats but then the copiers put in cheaper motors, etc.

When I say ripping knickers I'm talking about some vendors charging $40-$50 for a simple turn fin when they should be in the $15-$25 range. There is a definite market for replacement parts and there shouldn't be a lot of difference in the pricing because the cost factors are similar. I really try not to bash other vendors but when I see somebody trying to charge exhorbitant prices for a replacement part it ticks me off because the customer is being forced to pay way too much for a 'support' item for their boat. It should tick you off too! I could mention a particular company that is good at that but I won't. At the same time, when I see something reasonable, like the Windshield on this boat, I give them praise as I did. Guess I should be more careful with my wording? No offense to anyone intended.
