Traxxas DCB M41 single to DCB M29 twin conversion

Here is one of my many conversion boat projects. As the title suggests, here are some of the construction pictures I have so far. It started with designing and CNC cutting the outboard motor brackets from black Delrin. Then on to cutting and filling non needed hull elements.
The one picture I SHOULD have taken is when I completely cut the transom extension off and made a brand new one from abs and bonded it to the back. It turned out fantastic in my opinion so that I can attach the 2 brushless outboards to the back in the correct locations. I will be running only 3s to start to see how it runs. The pics also show I cut off the bottom stuffing tube exit pod and filled it back in with plastic plate and epoxy, sanded and painted. I will post more pics when I can.

Be sure to go to my picture Gallery to see my twin brushless,Bonzi Epic 60 with twin arrowshark M8 drives I am working on.
Also see my Shockwave 36 converted to twin brushless TFL P1 drives. that boat runs fantastic now!! only on 3s as well and does a respectable 32MPH as an 8 pound boat!

Incredible work. Love the look of the outdrives.

I've seen those same outboards mounted on the Lucas Oil/Motley Crew catamaran here on OSE. I was really hot to build one of those, but I keep turning away because most have indicated that those little outboards just don't hold up well. Would like to hear more imput on the setup when you get it in the water.

Thanks for checking out and feedback. Now the one thing I am doing is re soldering the cables into the shafts AND I got a reverse lay cable for counter rotating outboards. The Lucas boat is shorter and he has same rotation motors...I will be limiting my runs to 3s for now on 32mm props with option for going up to 34mm props safely. I don't need a fast boat, just a fun poker run style boat to run.

Where did you find the transom mounts for your boat motors, nice looking boat. I have one of those motors on a hornet hull.

I designed them around the transom angle and CNC cut them from Delrin in my basement shop. I have a well loved Sheline CNC Mill and Lathe.
