        re :

Thanks for the info, guys. Gives me something to think about. Since I'll likely transplant my 1515 1Y, I'll need to run a .187 cable to be on the safe side. I've been running this setup [ Fine Design 21 EGRSA ] with a .187 in the tube setup for the original .130, minus the teflon liner in the Drifter. Works well, & the drive can configure the rudder on either side. I like a left-side rudder on cats to lift the outside chine in right turns to avoid the chine "trip & flip," a well known Drifter characteristic Ray's hardware might work as well.

The guy I got it from took it back. He gave me all my moneyback, even shipping, and paid for shipping back to him. Thats a standup way of running a business!

I think I want to see what I can do on 3s with this hull. My mean machine build is going to be my lightning fast cat. I was thinkng of using a Fiego 8s motor and my HiModel 200amp ESC.
I have the motor and esc already. What prop would you guys start with for this combo???

Are you sure you want to do this . The s8 has a rev of 4436/volt on 3s = 50K/min.
                        start with a 34mm prop .

I would prop up a little to keep the rpms down. I have 200 amps to paly with. With a X632 prop, FECalc has it spinning at 37,249.16 RPMs

That motor won't be able to handle 200 amps running through it.

                            I would use an L.

OK. I have decided to go with a nemesis 6xl, Hydra 120a, on 3s starting with a x632 prop. Set up correctly, I expect to run mid 40s. With some tuning, maybe low 50s????

                                okay.

                                That'll be MUCH better.
