So my dad and I are in a disagreement... we are running a 29.5 Delta Force Mono hull (as seen in the the title)
.. The set up is Castle 1515 2200kv, 160 HK SeaKing esc, Octura m440 balanced and sharpened, running 2 2s 50c batteries... Last time we GPSed it we got a 52.25mph on the gps... then shortly after the flex shaft broke... fixed that then ran with our local club and flipped it in a turn and the motor broke loose... Now rethinking the set up... Our disagreement is the Center of Gravity... everyone in the world says 28-33%... we were running when the boat was at its fastest closer to 20-24% CG and continued moving the batteries further back to get the hull out more... Its seemed that the further the CG was forward that the nose of the boat kept catching a ripple in the pond and would almost spin out every corner... So I want to completly redo the boat and get the CG back up closer to 30% instead of replicating our previous set up... My dad on the other hand wants to replicate our previous set up with the CG way to the back (which we know ran great)... I am seeking advice on house to rebuild our boat... Should we rebuild with CG back up to 30%ish or replicate what we already had??
