Tp 3630 and ul 1 water jacket

I was wondering if anybody tried using the OSE upgrade UL1 water jacket on the TP 3630 motor?

    Thanks

    Jack,

    While I haven't mated the UL-1 cooling jacket to a TP Power 3630, here's some thoughts :

I've used this on a 3630 ;it fits nicely(if you're using a tail ring on the motor mount it's tight, lengthwise) but with the large inlet/outlet fittings and generously sized O-rings I like it a lot:

The 3630 can is 58mm in length, the Leopard jacket (above) is 50mm long

The HRC , very nice (but pricey) is 50.8mm long

The UL-1 jacket is 48mm long ; I see no reason why it wouldn't fit BUT it has tiny O-rings and often requires copious lube, elbow grease and lots of obscene proverbs to get it in place without compromising the O-ring integrity

Aren't the TP slightly smaller? Or is that the larger 40mm series?

I made the mistake when I ordered my 3630 from TP Power and bought the jacket for that motor along with it. The O rings are not installed and they have to be installed after you slide the jacket over the motor. I spent over three hours attempting to install the O rings while the jacket is on the motor. There is NO other way to do this. Th O rings were somewhat oversize and trying to install them was PITA and never accomplished.Even tried a guitar pick which only ruined one of the O rings. A stupid engineering design.
I ended up buying one from OSE ...ham-TP3630 jacket and it fit nicely with a little olive oil for lube. LOL!
