    50" Deep Vee, leopard 5698 835kv, 12s

    Hi,

Does anyone have experience with this combination of setup. I have just ordered the components. Hope it works, and altso last..forever :p

Hull: Joysway Silverline, 50" Deep Vee, fiberglass
    Motor: Leopard 5698 835kv (rated 42V and 6500w)
    ESC: Swordfish 300a+ pro
    Batteries : 12s (2 X Gens Ace 6s 5000 mah 60c)
    Prop: I'll probably start with a octura x 2/450

The rpm with 12s should be around 37.000. And maybe I'm wrong, but I believe that these motors can handle a lot?

    Thanks for comments

Thanks. Actually one change. Motor is now leopard 56110 780kv. I hope to achieve same speed as I could achieve by 5698 835kv, by the option of using a little bigger prop. What do you think?

I use that motor in a 45" deep V and its a beast..the lower kv is a much better choice for the 12S you want to run...personally I wouldn't go over 10S as its overkill with the extra voltage. To make life easier on the batteries, you should consider running 2P as well.

Make sure you re-enforce the hull...when that boat came out, it had several reviews where the hull integrity was brought into question.

Thanks! Yes, have heard that the hull should be reenforced. The hatch and other places have hoals, because it also was made for gas. But not sure what other issues it has..

The reason I went down on kv (from my original plan 910kv, and then from my first change 835kv) was exactly why I concluded to use 12s. And then also try to go down on amp.
