    Fighter Cat Cheetah first build

Hello, My question should be simple for all you veteran's.
I have a cheetah 41. I am installing a single engine a T.P. 4080 or a 4060 What I would like to know is what size stuffing tube do I need I will be running 3/16 props. So I would like diameter and length. Thank You in advance

We can't answer that. You are the one doing the building. Not only that, but bending a longer length, then trimming is easier for some (like me). As for diameter, that depends on whether you want to use a liner or not. All of that info is in the OSE shop with the brass.

The answer IS simple: it depends.

Where you put the motor dictates the length.
The diameter of the stuffung tube depends on diameter of flex shaft (and liner as stated above, if using).
Get 18-24" of brass to be safe and use the diameter corresponding to your flex shaft design.

Thanks , I just really wanted to know if I needed to order depending on the motor as I stated I am using 3/16 prop's . so according to your answers the motor shaft doesn't matter as long as I get a 3/16 shaft for the prop and I can do without the Teflon liner and I have no problem cutting the stuffing tube I thought I needed a 30" but you guy's say 24" will work so thanks.
If anyone else would like to ad to this I would be grateful and appreciative.

        Respectfully Yours

There are SO many Cheetah builds on OSE to help the OP. They will answer his questions and have photos to help him visualize. Just use the Advanced Search and type in 'Cheetah'.

You'll want one of the following
                1. 3/16 cable with 3/16 stub as a minimum diameter. Use a 9/32 brass tube with teflon 1/4 without.
                2. 1/4 cable with stepdown to 3/16 stub. Use 11/32 brass tube with teflon, 5/16 without.
Just cut to required length when you have motor with collet and strut installed.
