    OSE BlackJack Conversion

After a disastrous bench test with the stock drive I quickly found out that the universal will not take the power of bl or nitro.

I wanted to keep the scale looks of the steerable outdrive. Here's what I have done.
I removed the stock prop shaft.
    Removed the stock bushings.
Drilled the stock out drive out to 1/4" or .250
    Made a sleeve out of 1/4" k&S
Slide in a Stinger sleeve bearing, than cut it to the shorter length to fit the BJack.
Ran a new .150 cable with 3/16" prop shaft all the way to the new outdrive.
The new system is as smooth as butter!
I fired up a stock sv and a the sv powered Black Jack next to each other. The BJ is remarkably quieter than the sv. I hope to water test today! Pictures to follow in a couple of minutes.

Good Luck man!! I was hoping some one would try to improvre on the stock system. Do you have any ideas for a uiniversal upgrade? I had thought of modifieing a nitro or electric stadium truck mip cvd joint.

Well I'm sure you could find some better universal but matting it to a flex will be no easy task. I have not water tested yet, but I can not see a downside to the outdrive mod. I cant wait to try it.

My mod will less than $20 !!!
.150 cable and shaft is $11
      bushing is about $6.
      1/4 k&s is about $2.

Of course this doesn't include the tools. But those I consider investments.

Radio box is staying. The mount is something I made. I need a new cad guy to draw it up for me.

                          Prop

I have a Blackjack Brushless that I ditched the universal and went with 3/16" flex shaft and 3/16" prop shaft. This looks to be a very good idea.

My problem is the prop to use. The prop that came with the boat for the smaller prop shaft is 1.6"x2.5" and 3/8" wide. I got a Graupner k series 54mm grp 2317.45 that is 1.77x2.48 that fits a 3/16" shaft. and it's is way too large when there is only 1/64" different. it's also 5/8" wide, thats 1/8" wider than the prop that came with the boat.
This prop is only 1/16" away from the water intake tube. That 1/64" differance to more like 1/8".

WHAT AREN'T I NOT SEEING HERE AND WHAT SIZE PROP DO I NEED.

                          Thanks
