Why are you so dead set to use the foam when multiple people have told you it's a bad idea? One guy even had a bad foam experience with the same hull. The first time I was running my Flowmaster I brought it in and picked it up by the front of the tunnel and the paint/gelcoat cracked just from that light hand pressure causing the front deck to flex. It's really thin in that area and it seems like you're just inviting trouble by trying the foam. In the end it's your boat but I tend to listen to people who have done a project more than I have. If you're worried about the look of pool noodle floatation you could try water pipe insulation from the hardware store. It's black/dark grey.Comment

Well, the foam is done...and it came out great. Yes, if you tilt it in the light just right, there are two very small dimples in the deck. This is because I didn't run enough tape across the hull. Otherwise everything is good. My temp gun is at the girlfriend's house, so I couldn't get an exact temp on the curing process. Going by feel...an electric blanket turned all the way up when it's under a comforter...not hot at all. You squeeze the hull now and it's like a rock! I poured a total of 10.2 oz. of foam in five stages. The rest of the interior is all cleaned up and ready for reinforcement.

The front of the hull is SOLID!! Almost like you would have to smash it with a hammer to do anything. I really wished that I weighed the hull before adding the foam. The hull now weighs 2lb.1oz.Comment

The big problem with two part foam is that is continue to expand very slowly with hot temperatures...I'm cheering for you and let's see how it turns in a few months.....GO FAST AND TURN RIGHT !

Let's hope it keeps expanding toward the back of the hull lol. Have some cf sheet, fabric, and epoxy on the way. I'll probably do the transom and floor reinforcement next weekend if the stuff shows up next week.Comment

Glad it turned out well. But yeah, over time the foam will just keep breathing. As for the weight, don't be concerned. On a cat the more weight you have the better (up to a point). Otherwise it won't stay on water. When you add the motors, esc's, and lipos, whatever weight the hull had would be nothing in comparison!Comment

5 blade? You lose all the torque when you run more than 2 blades. If your objective is acceleration and speed, stick with 2 blades.Comment
