Thanks guys, needless to say I was giggling all day!!
I can't wait to get back out and test a little less aggressive outside edge on outside ride pad.
Stay tuned and thanks again for the kind words!

Jesse, unbelievable how well that thing ran first time out. You truly know what you're doing.

Thanks again, I still have lots to learn and that's part of the fun.
I am having a little trouble with the paint products; I probably mixed too many types too quickly.
Minwax stain, two day cure time.
Minwax fast dry sealer, one day cure.
Duplicolor black, then Duplicolor metal flake 30 min cure
Duplicolor clear coat, one day cure.

Turns out the hatch tape damage was at the Minwax sealer level. I'm thinking either stain wasn't done drying, or the lacquer based automotive based paints messed with polyurethane wood sealer to break down the bond with the stained wood...

updates. since last weekend, I added some balsa to decrease the trip of the ride pads. I think I over-did it because she really slows down in the turns. no tripping, but slow turning... I will be removing some of the balsa to find a happy medium.

Certainly handles well Jesse. Makes me wanna take the R-42 out.
I’ll have to re read this to catch the mods fully. So 6000mah for the twin?

Ya, 6000 total for several runs and after 2 minutes, there ware 15 and 25% ish for the outside and inside respectively.
I have not tried 6s yet or any other escs than the original proboat ones from ten or so years ago.

Here are the pics again. The lighter un sealed balsa between the ride pad and the spray rail is what I had added hoping to reduce the tendency of catching and "tripping".

My next thing before this weekend is to chisel off a good amount and reduce it to about a 45 deg angle right at the ride pad. Should give me drier turns and better lap times with the good stability it gained.

I wonder if that broad front balsa is catching too much water when it settles in before the corner(or as it receives rudder input).

Just posted vid over in videos. Turns out this handles great... but was built so beefy that 4s class requires twins.
In video, she is running twin tp 3640, 1570Kv 5Y V2 motors, Ose Raider 150 escs, each with an extra cap bank between y connector and 4s pack, .078” wire drives, counter rotating CNC 48mm 3 blade, detongued and sharpened Total Pitch 2.65". The 2 packs are turnigy graphene 4000mah, 75c discharge. I do have two noise inhibitors between the escs and the y connector at the Spektrum receiver and a 2s lipo receiver pack. Until pictures, this is just about all the important details.

Here is castle data logger. Tp 4060 3y 1734kv, 50mm x 1.8 pitch 3 blade prop on 4s2p... good thing I stoped when I did.

Well thanks to some rough water, I did well at the nats.
Three seconds and one first in the 4 heats, for second overall!
I even finished the last quarter lap of the last heat on one motor! The inside mount broke loose and the motor twisted until it unplugged itself! Good thing I had two motors!
I’ll post up some action shots soon.
