    Custom jet boat

I have been toying with the idea for a long time of making an rc jet boat, which I would be able to drive through serious rapids.

I have just started researching and seen that everyone seems to modify the nqd tear into jet boats. I personally don't like the look of them, and i just want to be different.

My first thoughts are that I want a self righting hull, such as the proboat recoil, or atomic barbwire, but i am not sure if it will be possible to modify to fit a jet drive. My other concern is durability as i expect that i will run into a rock or two. Any other suggestions for hulls?

I have my old 60amp esc from my miss geico, which is what i would like to use for power, I am not decided on a motor as i suspect it will be determined by my hull.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Have a look at the Toysport Syncron on the OSE hulls section, it has a built in flood chamber for self righting and a small flat plank part at the bottom rear of the hull that would make it ideal for a jet boat set up. The hull is made from epoxy glass and is very durable. You could inlay extra layers of carbon, kevlar or fiberglass to suit your needs.
I have setup a couple of them in the past and found it a great hull and top quality, it may not have the scale look that you are after though but I am sure it would be a blast, sure the hull is a bit pricy but it is worth the money.

    Regards Shane.

I have been curious about this as well. I would love to build a jet boat out of the recoil2 heatwave livery.
