    MHZ Lizard extreme with outboard

    now for something different

    started from a MHZ lizard extreme and should become a Bernico F2 extreme scale like model
    using the Thunder tiger outboard
    not aming for top speed but 40-50 km/h would be scale speed i guess

    working at the transom at the moment

                no it's the thunder tiger unit , has an 1900kv 36 mm outrunner in it
                designed for use with a 40.6 mm prop and 4s

                but'm going to use it for with a beautifull 40mm 3blade cnc prop and only 3s , less rpm : easier on the flex

                have to say that i like the design : flex makes an angle of 45° and not 90° like most outboards do ( there is a gear inside and motor is tilted in an angle )

                sorry for my english : it's not my native language

                  i'm not an expert Beaux but if flex makes an angle of 90° : i'm not sure about the rpm's this can handle

                        i'm a slow builder ( just needs to be finished in a few months)
                        work,wife, kids...too little time :-)

                        put in an extra 200gr/m² glasscloth in the hull
                        attached the motor because i'm working on the servomount : have to make that myself

                        as you can see : still needs some sanding , but's that an outside job and the wether is just to bad for that

                              Nice work, it is always good to see scratch builds or extensive modifications like these to show that despite the prevalence of prebuilt hulls and RTRs the skills aren't disappearing yet.

                              The younger Bertels from Bernico are keen FE racers in Europe as well as full size racers, I hope they see this as I'm sure they would get a kick out of it.
