DF Vortex....... in nitro.

Hey gang, it's me again trying something a little different.
There is going to be a proposal in the IMPBA for a Sport 12 hydro class and just so that someone has to be one of the first, I got the Delta Force Vortex to give it a shot with. It's going to be my winter project so going will be slow.
The hull showed up Saturday while I was at the lake working on my new gas Cat so I had some splainin' to do when the wife chirped me as she didn't know that I gotten myself a birthday present.
So far besides the hull I got a Speedmaster mini hydro rudder and an Octura strut plus some other stuff that is coming out of one of my other .12 mono projects.

Anyway, here's where I'm hitting up the DF Vortex owners for some hot tips. The floor seems to be a little weak so it's probably going to need some reinforcement. I've got some CF that I can lay down, both in sheet and rod.
What turn fin are you using? Rudder, left or right side? CG position? Rudder servo? Any other tips would be appreciated.
The cowl will have the vents opened to give the (probably) Nova Rossi .12 some fresh air.
This isn't my first electric to nitro conversion but kind of new to hydro's like this.

OK, it's slowly coming along. The engine is going to have to wait until after the holidays so I used an old one to help set things up.
So far I've hung a Speedmaster rudder, Octura strut and Grimracer turn fin on the hull. Inside I've made up carbon fiber angine rails and servo mounts. Also in there is a Grimracer fuel cell that Mike made back when he was still Grimracer/Power Surge Racing.

OK, it's closer to hitting the water now, I just have to throw a receiver and starting belt in it.

The CG is really close to that spot, I figure if I need to move any weight around I can start with the RX and battery pack.

The boat is done and has been wet a couple of times, just working on carb settings and props, the usual new boat stuff.
It's now put away for the winter and will hit the ponds when they open up again in the spring then get it ready to set an IMPBA record in the new Sport .12 class. The boat should be capable of running well into the 60's when fully dialed in.
