Genesis Single BUDGET rebuild? Think ratrod...

Hey Everyone, I read a ton here and appreciate all the info and assistance given. I recently picked up a large gas hydro and hauled away a few "project" boats too.

Please see the pics below but the genesis hull has a nasty hole where the stuffing tube used to be and I was hoping for suggestions for a winter build. My thought was to do it on an inexpensive budget, single motor, etc. While I've never done fiberglass repair or inlays, I'm fairly handy(solder, etc) and am willing to learn, while posting the progress on this rebuild.

I have a decent supply of 2s, 3s and 4s batts currently, so there's some flexibility on motor, esc, etc.
I though about twins but don't want to spend the $$, since I already have a decent running EKOS cat.
Other current FE fleet is Motley crew, Lucas oil, 2- Revolts, Mystic and now a project genesis.

Also, I'm in need of a hatch too, that was gone. Thanks in advance, Joe

That hole is an easy fix. First off, are you doing an inlay in it? I highly recommend because that hull is pretty flimsy. The stuff in there will detach fairly easy for you. If you do an inlay and need help, I don't mind guiding you. I have a super easy method that's great for a first timer. Let's see first what your intentions are and I'll let you know which route to go to fix it......

Thanks Travis. I've never done an inlay but I'm willing to learn and appreciate your advice.
If you have a list of goodies I'll need, that would be great.

Do I need to cut/clean up that hole? Or can I leave it as is?

Yes I'll get a list together for you. You can leave the hole like that for now. I'll pm you later
