Ok. I finally got it. Got an excellent tip for you guys. The micro torch worked unbelievably well. You just wave it over the epoxy quickly and the bubbles pop instantly and the epoxy levels amazingly quick. I thought the heat gun would work well but nothing like the torch. So thanks for the bar top epoxy link as I learned that trick because of it. I'm excited now. I'm almost done with this thing. Homely it's even more stable.

Couple things. DO NOT leave the torch on one area. Move it around quickly. It you do it boils the epoxy quickly (especially thin areas) and will create more bubbles than you had. Use a small pencil torch or little small hand heals one. Not the big propane one unless you wanna catch the boat on fire lol. Harbor freight sells these little butane torches for under ten bucks. It does not work well on super thin layers of epoxy. Maybe it will but be careful and experiment with it.

I had some small divots in it. I filled them with 5 min epoxy and then did the torch trick. Worked like a champ. I'm liking this trick a lot. It's going to help out in the long run for sure.

Good tips Travis, I have been meaning to get a mini torch for some time now and there is just one more reason.

So are getting some nice square/sharp edges going now?

Well seems like the work paid off. It appears to be more stable! Lots of work but after creating this thread, ideas given and some experimenting....I figured out the fastest and best process. A micro torch lol. I bet my carbon phone cases will come out much better now!
