Hey guys
I havn't quite recieved the parts for this build yet, but some of it is in the mail and on its way, including the hull, and since Im extremely excited for this build, I figured id start a thread and get some insight towards powering it.
Due to the hulls size, I was curious if it would indeed qualify for P sport competition, as im not entirely aware of the exact required dimensions. The hull is pretty close to scale appearance overall, and wouldn't take much to qualify for 1/8 scale if it were of that size.
The guy who built/designed the hull is well known in Germany and has designed several hydros in the past, including several large 1/6 scale hulls, and all of them perform amazingly with electric setups. Its an extremely well built hull, its layed up in epoxy glass and carbon fiber, and has a special white gelcoat leaving very little prep work before paint. The hatch should also be very easy to tape up. Still need ideas for the paint job, as I do intend to follow along a real full sized boats livery but not outside of some nice personal touches if I feel like it.
The boat will run on 4s, and outside the obvious P spec powered setup, I have a couple ideas for some more aggressive power configurations, as this boat can certainly handle 60+ MPH despite its size (theres even a micro sized 13.5" version that hit nearly 40mph).
