Newbie considering Blazer Slingshot to electric

hey all, i am a gasser considering converting my blazer slingshot rigger to electric
my concerns are keeping a 1/4 shaft, not having to shorten shaft tube if it returns to gas, using/testing my existing props, it has to date been up to 85 mph.
i know i also will need to make another cowl for sealing purposes.

it has a 5 inch tub which would preFER to use zenoah mounts to "hold" elec mount.
if this is feasable, where would i start at for motors, a friend showed me a beautiful castle 2028? motor that he is building a twin cat with and it seemed like it could do the trick.
oh and thinking 10-12s, side by side batts maybe to distribute weight evenly
    suggestions and help appreciated !

Admins if this is in the incorrect forum please fix !

You are looking at the right motor... Just keep in mind that the motor probably wont go in the exact same place as the zenoah did because the lipos are heavier than fuel so to maintain CoG on the turn fin the motor will most likely move towards the rear of the boat.

I have a v3 backlash converted to electric and I was able to put the motor in the same spot but the radio box had to be opened to allow lipo's to be pushed back as far as possible. I also put my steering servo in the back compartment as far back as possible. As for esc's, I'm using a swordfish 300 lite and as with other esc's they're hard to come by. If you're planning on racing you'll have to stick with 10s max per NAMBA.

All you gotta do is keep that CoG right in the center of the turn fin and you good to go. do whatever it takes...

Is a single motor, single esc and 2 batteries doable ?
Which electrics are you using in the b/l and what speeds have you gotten to ?
I have a gas Gen 3 up to 87, with perfect weather....

Only one way to know if it's going to work, try it! I'm using a Lehner 3080 and swordfish 300 lite, 10s2p 7400mah Revolectrix lipos. It'll hang with the best, but the driver is a different story.

Low to mid 80's. The lite is hv just isn't enclosed.
