Yeah it's a NewQiDa X-Cyclone from CycloneToy, I also got one for 30Euros (40$) on Ebay!
    It's my first boat!
I first upgraded it with 2x600Race, 2 pack of 9xGP2200 80Amps ESC home made hardware, see the video here:http://perso.orange.fr/pleindetrucs/index.htm
I recently purchase a Feigao 8XL to put in with 10 or 12 cells!
    CHEAP TOY!

Here are latest pics. second set of tubes as I used a tubing bender on these and an alarm clock on 1st set. Also pictured is my Y harness for speed controllers. Other than 2 hydra 120's this built is complete except for a few nut&bolt tightening. When I get the hydras I tune & Film. Sorry for blurry pics.

I will say 22.2 Volts 20C which I believe 100Amp constant for 1 minute and check temp.'s. I will video so you can either see motor melt through hull or a yellow rocket across lake of glass

LOL. Quick tech question: Do you need a certain kind of lipos to be able to withstand this kind of abuse?

yes. and the sticker on the battery is not always right.
you should not draw even Half of the C value when useing the batteries if you want to have them for a while.
                2p or go home.
and don't get max amps cells

OK, excuse my ignorance, because I am still learning, but what is that C rating that I always see, and what is 2p? I guess you saw my other thread, where I plan to run twin 8xls backed up by lipos. I'm not sure what voltage I want to settle at, but I want to start off with 14.8, and then see where it goes from there. What kind of lipos should I be looking for? Should I be putting more voltage than that into the motors?

                    C=capacity, a 4000 mah has a c of 4000 mah(or 4 amp hours). 10c(10*c) would be 40amps.
                    2p is 2 packs in parallel(4ah + 4ah which would yield 8ah @10c 80 amps safely)
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

                        Hi guys,
                        Need some advices
Would you please take a look at my boat on http://perso.orange.fr/pleindetrucs/index.htm, it's the same as Mich.Maniac but the 2nd video shows my new setup (just first tested today) with 1xFeigao08XL 2 packs of 12xGP2200, cheap Mystery 80A contro. and the rest is home made!
best result is with K40,5 prop.
Tell me what you think about it, I feel like there's a little issue, prop seems to be over-cavitating for the first few seconds after I push the throttle up!
Steven is this the first Feigao you've ever sent to France? :D
                        Emmanuel

the motor is linked to the propshaft with 1" of 4mm flex, the propshaft is supported by 2 flanged ball bearing in an aluminium tube, the axis of the prop is right at the bottom of the hull V, the "bad thing" is that the rudder is in the center line 1" behind the prop, the prop is 3.2" behind the transom

So are you running 24cells in series to the 8xl?

Not the first shipment to France. I have a few customers there.
