Not trying to be a Debbie downer here, but I've noticed a few things:

That motor is a decent motor, so don't take it the wrong way. It's rated for 50k rpm. It used to be rated higher but they lowered the rpm limit on it, I suspect from excessive failures? At 3.7v per cell on 8s which would be around the voltage it would be under load, you'll be in the neighborhood of 53k rpm. Not a whole lot higher than the rating....but... Say the prop comes out the water and it unloads....that could be in excess of 60k rpm. The shaft on that motor is 5mm. Unless your having them make you an 8mm version (which they will do and I highly recommend) the 5mm version will flex the shaft at high rpm and the rotor will hit the windings. I've experienced this myself with a slightly shorter motor with a 5mm shaft so I know this for a fact. The reason I'm telling you this is because I've done setups like this and with this exactly motor, so I know. You'll only need 7s if your trying to hit 100, 8s will be a gross overkill. I'm not so sure your Esc would be up to the task of that load either. Hey I could be wrong, but I just wanted to point out some things I noticed.

                  Thanks for heads up..
I now I'm pushing it so I will consider 7s at least to see how it runs :-)
I had the same setup in a 40" deep V but with a castle 200hv esc and that went fin, all readings from the log was fine but off course it all depends on prop and how it runs.
Maybe you are right, time will show ;-) if there is anything else please let me know, I learn every day!!!
