    29" Skunk works deep V

I am going to start building on this one as well. I think I have the motor selected just waiting for stock. This will be my first build with Neu motor. I will be running 4S1P to a 1515 1Y (2200KV) and will start with a X642 prop. This hull will be running wire drive as well. I would like to get everything together to build before I start and just need esc. I was thinking CC240 but am wondering if anyone would know if a CChydra 120 would be safe. I have no clue on how to use FE calc.

Thanks and I will take pictures as soon as all the goodies start rolling in!

F E Calc Will Not Give Good Estimates With 4 Or 6 Pole Motors. A Few People I Have Seen Run The 1515 1y With Good Results. Just Prop Small And Check Temps As You Already Know I'm Sure.

EDIT: JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT I RAN YOUR SETUP INQUIRY THROUGH FE CALC AND IT TOPS OUT AT 155 AMPS WITH TOP SPEED OF 49 MPH............GO WITH THE 240!!!!

I've run that set up in a DF33 with a Barra 125 with no problems. However, I think the B125 is closer to a H240 than a H120, so it might be worth the extra bucks to go for the 240.

I actually went back to an X442, it seemed to suit the boat better. Next stop will be an M445.

I am planning to try out an 8xl with a cc120HV 14.4 volts on a Delta 33 knock off. Sounds like the x442 might be the way to go? What kind of speed should I expect?

Heres my build of the same hull, using a 9XL(feigao) and 4s1p for our clubs restricted class.

Excellent deal. Thanks for the input gents. I think I will still go with the Neu 1515 and hydra 240. I will have a great deal invested but If I ever go for something else a bit larger like a 33", then I should have what I need. I should have the hardware and motor in hopefully about a week. I will try to order motor through OSE. Most hardware was purchased through ebay.

It's A Good Idea To Get Equipment That Can Be Swapped Between Boats.

Unless you going to mount the motor right up front, and place it a bit higher than usual, i wouldn't personally use a wire drive in this mono. I have used wire in a mono before and when you have to use a sudden bend, instead of a gradual bend like you can get in a cat or hydro you get a great amount of drag in the system

In my build i used .150 linerless cable, and i would do that again if it were me, either that or go up to .187 cable.

                            Hope this helps,
                            Tyler.

Ran my boat today, went really well but dad didnt use the zoom on the camera so the vids useless. The boat performs really well, i cant wait to get some decent gps readings.
Just an FYI, i had to raise the strut alot to get this to run loose, so keep that in mind.
