    24in hydro setup.

hey guys, i was wondering what would be some solid 6-7 cell brushless setups for a wood 24inch hydro.

    for speed?

    for sport?

    thanks in advance.

My friend ran a hydro about that size on 7 cell Nimh and a Fiegao 7l motor I beleive. It ran in the mid 40's and was a nice boat.
Here is a small vid of it.

Yeah I know. My bud is actually on his way over and I will make sure that the 7L is the motor he was using. He retired that boat this season after sticking the sponson in a bouy and damaging it pretty bad.

can you take some pictures of his set up? haha. i mainly wanna know about the strut and rudder and placement of everything inside.

i noticed it says finlay, i used atlas plans from gary. but scaled down to 24inches.

Sorry but the boat is all gone now so I can't take pics. He did the exact same thing (Scaled down Atlas plans). His boat ran great right from the start, barely any adjustments. He also has a 30" Atlas that he is building right now.

Ok I just got back from my friends house. He actually was running a 8s motor in the vid but he recommends that you run a higher turn motor, maybe a 9s or 10s if they are available. His setup was pretty hot and killed quite a few GOOD nimh cells in its day. His setup pulled 90-95 amps continuous so he had a Barracuda 125 esc. All his hardware was homemade and looked a lot like the hardware that BBY makes. I hope that helps.
